I am very impressed. So, I nerd out on things. My current LJ project started a little rough. At first, I was a little disappointed at the interior noise. I get it, it's a jeep on 33s but still. So I started driving around with a sound meter and recording average a peak db. I started with a 74.3 db average on way round trip to work. First I repaired the rust/holes in the floor with some new panels. That helped more than I thought (it had some floor mats in it) to 73.1 db. Next I put some HushMat on the front floor sections and up the firewall. - yes, I later read on the Armorlite instructions not to do this, but it's all good. The Hushmat was less effective than I thought and only dropped appx .5 db to 72.5 db. At the Jeep Jam in Tn I saw Armorlite and was impressed with the fit they advertised, and ordered the full set. While waiting for the Armorlite to arrive, I pulled the console, put a new boot and seal around the shifter, and put Hushmat covering the tunnel top and sides, also strips on the inside of the console. This dropped to 71.8 db. So, the jeep was feeling more solid and smooth. The Armorlite arrived and I picked a day for the install. Here's a few tips. Watch the install video that they have. It's helpful. Also, when you pull the seats, soak the seat mounting bolts in ATF, clean the threads, and then use Anti-sieze when you put them back in. The Armorlite panels fit very well. I only trimmed where they said to to fit my LJ. The front was a little tight due to the Hushmat, but with a little pushing and pulling they fit perfectly. The complete install took under four hours.
Then I went for a drive. WOW. OK, so they fit great and look factory, but the real deal is the sound drop. 67.8 db average on the same trip. That's may not sound like much - get it? - but it is very noticeable. I can talk to my girl and hear the stereo.
I give them 5 stars. Great product. Worth every penny.
